Our Team

Ben is currently adjunct faculty at the University of New South Wales's Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), where he has designed, developed and currently teaches a number of leadership programs within Australia's top-ranked MBA program. Ben has significant experience in the design and conduct of training for Leadership, Crisis, Emergency and Business Continuity Management, and has delivered this training for a wide variety of clients across sectors including mining and resources, aviation, government and not-for-profit.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master in Defence Studies (with Distinction) from Kings College, London and a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction, dux of his class) from the University of Western Australia. He is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course and a Patron of the Military Arts Program Australia. He is also co-author of the book The Resilience Shield, author of the book We're All Going To Die and co-host of the Unforgiving60 podcast.

Tim's first career was with the Australian Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment. In 2001 he was appointed Australia's first principal adviser to the Government of Sierra Leone, and in 2002 he was selected to raise a sensitive, time-critical Australian national counter-terrorist capability. He was the United Nations lead elections planner for the 2005 Afghan Parliamentary Elections.

From 2006, Tim spent nine years in Dubai as Managing Director of a group of 42 companies providing integrated medical, security, logistics, aviation and consulting services, including a crisis response team supporting 3,600 policyholders and up to 70 time-critical incidents a year for a major insurance underwriter.

Tim co-hosts the Unforgiving60 podcast and the Building Resilient Kids podcast, co-authored the bestselling book The Resilience Shield (Pan Macmillan, 2021), and wrote Building Resilient Kids (Pan Macmillan, 2025).

Tim is Adjunct Faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), a Company Director of eight private companies. He has previously been a Board Member of the RSL in Western Australia, and an Advisory Board Member for the Starlight Children's Foundation in Western Australia. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts, and further qualifications in risk, operations and project management.

Andy's first career was as a firefighter within Victoria, Australia, where he gained experience in both rural and metropolitan firefighting, road crash rescue, and hazardous material spills.

Since 2011, Andy has worked within the resources sector, either directly for or consulting to resource companies, in a wide variety of roles across the emergency response and emergency management fields. His capability and passion in this area led him to more senior positions within the Emergency Response (ER) field, where he has extensive experience guiding companies through emergencies and crises and implementing emergency management capability. He was employed in a variety of roles including Emergency Services Officer (ESO), Emergency Response Coordinator, and Medic, leading teams of varying sizes across both metropolitan and remote locations, and was responsible for implementing a leadership pipeline to develop key personnel to progress from emergency response team member to Emergency Services Officer.

Since 2016, Andy has dedicated his efforts to training and benchmarking emergency response capability, working with clients across multiple continents and a wide range of operating environments. His deep understanding of best practice allows him to rapidly assess existing client capability and provide practical, tailored training and recommendations suited to the unique requirements of each site, geographical location, and regulatory environment. Andy has delivered training and capability assignments across Africa, Asia, the Pacific, North America and throughout Australia, spanning both surface and underground operations, and is currently leading the development of emergency management and ER capability for a resource company on a global scale.

Andy has partnered with a large number of the world's leading mining and resources companies, spanning gold, lithium, base metals, iron ore and copper operations across multiple countries — reflecting deep, wide-ranging expertise rather than experience limited to a single site or operator.

In 2019, Andy joined the Mettle Group of companies to lead the Emergency Response Practice. Andy has experience in the design and development of Crisis, Emergency and Business Continuity Management plans, procedures, and training, delivered across a broad range of sectors including mining and resources, oil and gas, aviation, government and aged care. He has experience in enabling understanding of emergency response capability and enhancing the interoperability between frontline emergency response and management teams, supporting organisations fully — from the incident scene through to board level — with real-time crisis management and emergency response.

Jenn is an Associate at Mettle and enjoys working across the practice areas of crisis management, leadership, resilience, and strategic advisory. She spent her early career in community development and child protection roles, with a background in social sciences and a strong interest in human behaviour. She holds a Master's degree in International Relations (National Security), Graduate Diploma in International Relations, Graduate Certificate in International Health, an undergraduate in Social Sciences and various certificates in mental health and drug and alcohol studies.

Jenn has consulted on health and leadership development projects for the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME), Committee for Economic Development of Australia, Leadership WA and the Mannkal Economic Education Foundation. She is the Director of Living Child Inc., a non-government organisation providing maternal and child health programs in remote areas of PNG.

He has amassed more than 200 first-class matches across Super Rugby with the Queensland Reds, Brumbies and Western Force, and Premiership rugby with Harlequins in England. He won a Super Rugby title with the Reds, was part of the Brumbies team that defeated the British & Irish Lions, and captained the Force through its return to Super Rugby, becoming one of only three players in the club's 20-year history to reach 100 appearances.

In 2024, Ian made his international debut for Zimbabwe, the country where he spent part of his childhood. The following year, as the Sables' playmaker, he was named Player of the Tournament and top point scorer at the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup, sealing Zimbabwe's automatic qualification for the 2027 Rugby World Cup and ending a 36-year wait to return to the tournament.

Ian is a dynamic, experienced speaker and facilitator, delivering keynote presentations, workshops and advising on leadership, high performance, resilience and team cohesion. With a genuine passion for empowering individuals and teams, he draws on a blend of his professional sporting career and extensive academic studies to help individuals and organisations unlock their full potential and achieve sustained success.

Ian pairs that playing career with serious academic credentials: a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, a Diploma of Business, a Certificate IV in Health and Safety, and dual Master's degrees in Clinical Exercise Physiology and High Performance (Sport). In addition, he is also Adjunct Faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he delivers Executive Education leadership programs.

Ian has also spent time in the resource sector as a health and safety advisor and is also an active ambassador for Little Windmills: The Country Kids Charity, supporting its Australian Stockman Rugby program.
